Decaying antiquity from a past that is no longer present in the land with its people. A thriving moment now only residing in the fading memory of the past. Themes of war, kings, courts and richness captured in the miniature paintings with the stories that were part of the larger culture. Painting on the foam as a symbol to the modern materiality, using a variety of paints to bring back those stories as I’m attempting to bring back a fragmented history as it decays away right before my eyes.
